MY STORY
MY STORY

After graduating from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics/Nutrition, my internship was completed in Georgia at multiple facilities in the Atlanta metro area.

So many children grow up seeing family members taking medication due to poor health and disease.  I was one of those kids.  As a result, in practice as a registered dietitian nutritionist (RND), I have a focus on disease prevention through diet and nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle modifications to help individuals become their best self.

In practice, I assess the whole body to help identify hidden root causes for stubborn weight loss or other health issues.  Patients are guided to make healthy changes to their diet and lifestyle one step at a time to become their best future self, and to have a positive relationship with food and their body.  My approach is through the use of a non-diet, healthy and balanced eating approach with the use of mindful and intuitive eating.  Mindfulness and intentionality are also encouraged to be used in other areas of life for stress reduction and a balanced life.

My current focus is primarily on weight loss and improved health for women which includes reproductive, infertility, PCOS, and menopause, as well as thyroid dysfunction and metabolism issues, gut health, food intolerances and allergies, and healthy aging.  Additional certificate of training has been obtained for nutrigenomics which aids in identifying root causes.  Men are also seen.

When I’m enjoying downtime with my family and friends, you can usually find me cooking up a favorite recipe or developing a new one, gardening, entertaining and playing games, working on home projects, playing with our four-legged son, or being out in the parks hiking, biking, or kayaking.
